This hands-on adult car care class is designed to build confidence and practical knowledge for everyday drivers. Participants will learn how to perform a complete vehicle maintenance check, including inspecting essential fluids, tires, and brakes.
We will cover how to safely change a tire on the side of the road, proper vehicle lifting techniques, and how to test and jump start a battery. You will also gain an understanding of tire condition and brake wear, helping them recognize when professional service is needed. A live oil change demonstration will walk participants through the process step-by-step, empowering drivers to better care for their vehicles, improve safety, and avoid costly repairs.
Taught by a 916 Career and Technical Center instructor, this class will allow you to gain the confidence to handle basic car care and spot issues before they become costly problems through demonstrations and hands-on interactive instruction.
