To get the most out of the band experience, private lessons on the given instrument are encouraged. Professional instructors offer the extra attention necessary to help your musician reach his/her full potential, and it is done on a schedule which is convenient for the student. The student will receive personalized instruction from a teacher who specializes in his/her instrument. All questions regarding the lessons and scheduling of lesson time will be handled by the individual band instructors. Please contact the instructor to schedule the lesson time, and then proceed to complete registration. Six 30-minute lessons to be scheduled with the instructor weekly starting July 8- Aug. 12. Make up lessons the week of Aug. 19 as needed. We offer weekly lessons for youth and adults of all levels and interests. School year lessons run from September through May. Summer lessons are available with registration in the Spring. Private lessons are 30-minutes (unless otherwise discussed) and are held at the Mahtomedi District Education Center. Email communityed@isd832.net to look into available times. Guitar - Michael Schumacher: grade 2 and above. Piano - Jeffrey Merrill and Todd Burrell: grade 1 and above. 2024-25 TUITION: When you pay the registration fee, we will use that credit card to automatically charge tuition the 15th of each month (August - April).
