Birding 101: A Birdwatching Morning - NEW

Adults / General Interest & more -
2026 Winter-Spring

Join local naturalist and self-admitted bird nerd Alicia Gatto Petersen for a refreshing morning of birding in one of Mahtomedi’s beautiful natural areas! Whether you're brand new to birdwatching or just looking to sharpen your skills, this outing is the perfect way to connect with local wildlife and other birdwatchers.

You will learn basic birding skills and build confidence in identifying birds, both in the field and right in your own backyard.

What to Bring:

- Binoculars (optional)

- Weather-appropriate clothing

- Comfortable walking shoes

Please note: We'll be on foot for the entire session, exploring uneven terrain, so come prepared for a light hike and time outdoors.
