    Get ready to ride! Join us for a fun and educational Bike Rodeo. This event is designed to teach kids preK-age 11 essential bike safety skills in a fun, hands-on environment. Riders will rotate through a series of activity stations focused on biking safety, obstacle navigation, and other skills. Watch out for more information to come on specific participating organizations. Whether your child is just learning to ride or already cruising the neighborhood, the Bike Rodeo is a great way to build confidence and encourage safe biking habits.     Calling all pet lovers! You're invited to our very first Pet Extravaganza -- a fun-filled community event celebrating our furry friends! Join us for the Pet Parade at 5:30 p.m. on Fields 9 & 10, where costumes are encouraged and the top three best-dressed pets will receive special prizes. You will also have the opportunity to explore booths from local shelters, pet stores, groomers, trainers, and more. LittleBoy Kitchen Food truck will be there, too! If you are bringing a participating pet, registration is required. All other attendees are welcome to just come and enjoy the fun! Please remember that all pets must be leashed or safely contained at all times. Parking will be located at Wildwood Elementary. We can’t wait to see you and your fabulous pets there!

At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion to provide to your insurance agent. *If you choose a virtual session, there are materials you will need to pick up at the Mahtomedi District Education Center or request for it to be mailed to you prior to your virtual course.     For the past 26 years, Advantage Educational Programs benefited thousands of students in Minnesota by preparing them for the college entrance exams. They offer ACT Preparatory Courses in more than 40 high schools in Minneapolis/St. Paul and the surrounding area. These courses are designed for students who wish to improve their test-taking skills and improve their overall scores on the college entrance exams. Students who finish the course increase their scores significantly. Advantage Education will provide an introduction to the ACT format with strategies for answering questions, as well as instruction for the specific subject areas tested. Focal points of the program include diagnostic testing, vocabulary development, intensive mathematical review, reading comprehension improvement, science reasoning, concentration improvement, overcoming test anxiety, essay writing, and time management. Three learning opportunities are available to register for the ACT Test Prep Course: In-person classroom: the course includes diagnostic testing, instruction in time management, overcoming test anxiety, science reasoning, English strategies and review, essay writing, reading comprehension, and math strategies and review. Students enrolled in these classes not only benefit from personal instruction taught by our experienced instructors but also have free access to our online course. Students may repeat this course online at no extra charge. This is held at MHS. Virtual classroom: virtual classroom meets for three hours, one day each week, for four weeks and is taught live, via Zoom, by an Advantage instructor who provides instruction and interaction with the students. Internet connection and access to a computer or laptop is required. Online at your own pace: online students prep for the ACT at their own pace and around their busy schedules. Instruction is pre-recorded and provided online via videos and slides. Students may access this course at any time and as often as needed. Students can make up any class they miss at other available class locations and may repeat any of the ACT prep courses by requesting the Self-Paced Online ACT Prep Course free of charge.   • AKA Archery and Outdoors (completed grades 3-8)

    AKA Archery is a featured program in the AKA SPORT Outdoors Division. We want kids to understand that there is more to active life and sport than traditional sports, and through Archery, we have witnessed the passion and excitement for sport by way of bow and arrow. Each day kids will learn the safety, technique and fun in the sport that dates back hundreds of years ago. And along with the Archery unit, campers will get the opportunity to geo-cache, build forts, play frisbee games and more. AKASPORT is all about getting these kids to enjoy the great outdoors!
  • AKA Golf (completed grades K-3)

    AKA Golf is designed to get kids swinging with proper mechanics and learn & grow in understanding real golf etiquette. Along with tons of games, competitions, and prizes, kids will learn and compete Driving, Chipping, Putting, learn Golf Safety, and even participate in Frisbee and Foot Golf for a well rounded Golfing experience… AKA brings the Clubs and Fun to you!

    The World Cup is coming to North America, with an incredible amount of excitement and competition for the world’s beautiful game, soccer (futbol)! Designed to teach campers an assortment of basic and top level skills, combined with plenty of game play, and World Cup style competition!
