Welcome to Summer Band! Concert Bands - This band camp is designed for students going into 7th or 8th grade Band at Mahtomedi Middle School, and is open to all instruments. Students will continue progressing on their instrument through reading additional band, pep band, and ensemble-arranged music. They will benefit from both an ensemble experience and a sectional experience during their band time. All students are invited to participate in this program. 8:00-9:25 AM: Beginners Band: (Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Trumpet, French Horn) 7th Grade Concert Band 9:35-11:00 AM: Beginners Band: (Saxophone, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Percussion) 8th Grade Concert Band Register your student for the GRADE ENTERING. CAMP DATES: Monday-Friday, June 11 - July 2 (no camp on June 19) Join us for a concert on the morning of July 2nd! Lead instructor: Ashley Olson, Mahtomedi Middle School Band Teacher

Welcome to Summer Band! Beginners Band - All 5th graders who registered for 6th grade Band at Mahtomedi Middle School (2024-25) are strongly encouraged to take part in this summer opportunity. This camp is for any students who are starting an instrument for the first time. Students will be learning the beginning basics of their instrument and will be working with a professional musician and teacher on their instrument in instrument-specific sessions.
