Mahtomedi Middle School Knowledge Bowl Team (Grades 7-8)

Fall 2025

Open for 7th and 8th grade Mahtomedi Middle school students, Knowledge Bowl is an academic competition in which teams of students work together to answer questions about history, literature, mathematics, science, current events, and other general knowledge. Teams will compete in four meets between November and February. Meets take place at middle schools across the Twin Cities. No experience needed in order to participate. 

Instructor: Ms. Marget, Advanced Academics Coordinator.

Practices:

Thursdays October 30th, November 6th, 13th, 20th, December 4th, 18th, January 8th, 15th, 29th, and February 5th.

2:40-3:30 PM in Mahtomedi Middle School Room 105

Meets:

Tuesday, November 18th @ Mahtomedi Middle School

Thursday, December 11th @ Skyview Middle School

Thursday, January 22nd @ John Glenn Middle School

Thursday, February 12th @ Northdale Middle School

Time: 2:40 - 8:00 PM (estimate)

On meet days, students will meet in room 105 at MMS to load a bus to the meet location. Parents will pick up students at the end of the meet back at MMS. Family members are welcome to attend meets, with the best time to arrive at 4:45 PM. Parents may take their child home from a meet, with advance notice to Ms. Marget. Students should bring a bag dinner, money for concession snacks if desired, and pencils.

$120 per participant (cost covers registration, meet fees, and transportation to meets)
