ECFE builds on family strengths and supports families in their efforts to raise their infants, toddlers and preschool aged children. Families attend classes together to experience learning in a safe environment to prepare for preschool and kindergarten.
Do you love to be challenged with high level Math equations and are good at solving Math problems? Seventh and eighth-grade Mahtomedi Middle School advanced math students are invited to attend the St. Cloud State University Math Contest on Thursday, April 10th, 2025. This is a statewide competition and last year the contest hosted 800 students!
We will meet at Mahtomedi Middle School at 7:30 AM to depart via bus.
We arrive to St. Cloud State University by 9 AM for check in. Students will then take a rigorous math test along with others from their grade level. Students are allowed to use hand-held calculators during the test period, but calculators which perform symbolic manipulation are not allowed. Cell phones or devices with wireless capability may not be used and must be turned off for the entire testing period.
After the test, students will eat in the university student center cafeteria (Garvey Commons) with options such as all-you-can-eat hot entrees, salad bar, pizza, hamburgers, sandwiches, an allergen friendly station, and more! They will also engage in activities on the campus.In past years these have been activities such as dorm tours, planetarium shows, bowling and games in the student union, tour of the radio station, basketball in the gym, simulation lab demonstration, and more!
An awards ceremony is held at 1:30 PM and we depart the campus at 2PM.
We will arrive back at Mahtomedi Middle School at 3:30 PM for pick up.
The registration fee covers event registration, lunch, and transportation.
