Green Thumbs Club - NEW

Adults / General Interest & more -
2025 Summer

Join our gardening group for hands-on experience to help you cultivate a thriving garden at home by working together in the community garden at the District Education Center. In this class, you will learn the ins and outs of gardening.

We will discuss essential topics such as what to grow, soil health, watering and weeding, as well as pest and disease control. We will dive into the world of plant classification and composting methods. Whether you are a beginner or looking to expand your gardening skills, working together in the community garden will offer you practical experience.

We will be bringing in speakers to discuss various topics such as soil testing, composting, pest control, and basic gardening tips. At the end of the growing season, we will explore canning the fruits of our labor.

Some sessions will be outside and some will be indoors.

There will also be a sign up for maintaining the group's garden plots.

This group is open to all ages 12+.
