Come be a part of our first Community Theater Musical! Designed for participants ages 15 to 100. Join Mahtomedi Community Education this summer for an unforgettable journey filled with laughter, friendship, and the joy of musical theatre! Under the guidance of ISD 832 theatre staff, Dennis Joslyn, you'll collaborate with fellow cast members to develop your characters, perfect your vocal technique, master intricate dance numbers, and create unforgettable moments that will captivate audiences. Dive headfirst into the world of musical theatre as you join our talented team of performers, directors, choreographers, and designers to bring a beloved Broadway hit to life on stage. From auditions to closing night, participants will immerse themselves in every aspect of the production process, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in acting, singing, dancing, set design, costume creation, and more. Throughout rehearsals, you'll work tirelessly to bring depth and authenticity to your performance, discovering the magic of storytelling through song and dance. Auditions for acting roles: June 10th to 11th, 6-9pm - Auditions will include acting, singing, and movement components. Audition materials will be emailed to all registered participants. A Callback Audition will be June 12th 6-9pm All auditions will be held at the Chautauqua Fine Arts Center. Cast and Crew Lists will be created and distributed on June 13th.
