Wrestling (co-ed grades K-5)

Gain physical training in endurance, strength, speed, flexibility and coordination, while learning wrestling, one of the newest and fastest growing sports in Mahtomedi. Discover takedowns, pins, escapes, reversals and defensive moves. Wrestling is a universal conditioner for a myriad of sports and can enhance the skills of competitors in football, hockey, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, track, cross-country and more. Lead coach Matt Oswald will be supported by adults and students from the high school wrestling team. Cost includes a t-shirt.

Participants will be involved in a short program before an upcoming Zephyr Varsity match (date TBD).

NOTE: Kindergarten students will meet for the first hour, 6:30-7:30 p.m..

10th year coaching for Mahtomedi (6yrs Assistant MHS, 3yrs Head Coach MMS, 9yrs Youth Coach) 

Married to Rachel (Mahtomedi Alumni & Assistant MHS Softball Coach) with 4 children (Payton, Sawyer 5, Jax 3, Kane) and a dog.

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, with a minor in Coaching from Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU)
