The MAC program goals are to provide safe choices for fun and learning in a positive environment, develop positive relationships with others and work together in a cooperative manner. Our program works with students to develop self-esteem and encourage respect and compassion for others. All registrations are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Contracts are time stamped upon completion. Registration is not completed until your contract request is approved. Contract requests are not guaranteed. Space available based on staffing. 2023-24 School Year MAC is currently full with a waitlist. As we find and hire additional staff we are able to accommodate more students. Summer MAC: completed grades K-7th Currently our 2024 Summer MAC program is full with a waitlist. You can still register, however, you will be placed on the waitlist. We won't know if/when your request may be approved or if space will become available. You will be notified of any changes. Preschool is an exciting time for young learners. Building on what children have learned from their parents as their first teachers, Mahtomedi Area Preschool (MAP) helps prepare them for the world of kindergarten. MAP takes 3-5 year olds through daily activities that strengthen social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The curriculum features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Math, language, and literacy skills are sharpened in MAP, as is self-regulation. Along the way, children further develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking abilities. Teachers and associates truly get to know each child as they grow together through their MAP experience. We look forward to having your family join our MAP family! CLASSES & FEES: Our brochure has the details regarding classes and fees - click HERE. 2024-25 PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION GUIDELINES Enrollment is not guaranteed and is based on space availability. Once you complete the online registration you will be put on a “pending approval status” in the order the registration is received. Your credit card will not be charged for the registration fee until your child is confirmed in the program. You will not be confirmed in the program until all required forms are received. Once you are approved, you will receive an email confirmation and your credit card will be charged. Annual preschool registration requires a non-refundable fee of $75. After registrations meets the maximum number, additional registrations go onto the waitlist and if space becomes available, you will be notified. Preschoolers may only be registered for one preschool class. Monthly tuition is processed via auto-pay on the first business day of each month. No additions to classes or class changes will be allowed August 25-Sept. 9. After Sept. 9, please contact us at 651-407-2441 for registration and/or class changes. Preschool students must be potty trained: 3-year-old preschool students should be mostly bathroom independent, knowing when they need to use the bathroom, and are having few accidents. 4-year-old preschool students need to be completely potty trained. *Special circumstances are accommodated due to medical needs or children on an IEP. REQUIRED FORMS IMMUNIZATION DOCUMENTATION is required for approval of your registration. CLICK HERE to view and print the Immunization Form. Enter the dates in the form. All 4 year old preschool students are required to have had an Early Childhood Screening or have an appointment for Early Childhood Screening. Complete all questionnaires online. Student & Family handbook must be read and agreed to. CANCELLATION POLICY: When you register for preschool you are registering for the entire school year: Sept.-May. Cancellation midyear requires a 2-week written notice and a $50 fee. If you cancel between June 30-August 1, 2024, a $75 cancellation fee will be charged. If you cancel on or after August 1, 2024, you will be responsible for the first month FULL tuition. TRANSPORTATION: Transportation to and from school preschool is the family's responsibility. Fee-based transportation is available for 4-5 year olds who live on existing transportation routes AND are registered for Full Day Preschool classes that meet 9:15 AM-3:35 PM Transportation forms and payment MUST be submitted to the Early Childhood Office by July 1.
